Scourge of Worlds
6/05/03

For those of you who haven't heard, Wizards of the Coast has decided to make a new Dungeons & Dragons DVD. The name of it is Scourge of Worlds and it's due for release on Tuesday, June 10. I know what you're thinking. The last D&D movie sucked balls. Well, yes. Yes it did. But this one is much cooler.

1) There is no real hype. So you won't expect anything.
2) It's all CGI, so you won't have to worry about shitty acting.
3) It's interactive.

OK, so normally, I hate computer generated graphics. But, that's only in movies where the CG is combined with real actors to give you a digital turd. This DVD is all CG, so it's allright. The movie stars some of D&D's iconics. Good ol' Regdar the human warrior, Lidda the rogue halfling, and Mialee the elf wizard have set out to keep a cleric from getting an artifact that will release the scourge of worlds. This is an interactive movie, kindof like a choose your own way book. There are over 900 story arcs with 4 possible outcomes.

So, Scourge of Worlds looks pretty solid. Plus, it's relatively cheap, so even if you don't like it, you're not out that much. Besides, it's something to do until 3.5 comes out in July. We did a little research and found the best price on the net, $15.18 at BestPrices.com.
