The staff frequently checks out the dragoncon web site for updates. Recently, there was something that caught our eye - The Cheese Grinder. The Cheese Grinder is a D&D event that lasts pretty much the entire con. The blurb said there were 666 encounters. Well, we thought that sounded like an awful lot of encounters to have written up, so we got in touch with the people running the event. It seems that there were some encounters that had not been written yet. So, being the humble and kind-hearted people that we are, the staff decided to volunteer to create some encounters for the event. Can you see this coming? If everything goes as planned, there will be an Ekaj somewhere in The Cheese Grinder. You can't pre-register for this event, but don't worry, you'll have plenty of chances to play. When someone dies, you get to jump in and take their spot. Odds are you won't be waiting long.

The eccentric, if not mad, wizard Rednirg Eseehc has created the ultimate challenge to test your metal. A dungeon with 666 encounters that are designed to kill, maim, and utterly destroy all who step inside it. He calls it his Cheese Grinder. Adventures are challenged to enter his dungeon of death to see how far they can make it. If one of the stragglers dies, the next is sent in to take the place of the fallen. Can you outlast the rest? Can you be the one to defeat the challenge of the Cheese Grinder? In the end only the cheese can stand alone.
